Tea Bridges Civilizations: Anhui Agricultural University Hosts the 2026 Chinese Government Scholarship International Summer School Program

本网讯 7月14日至27日，由国家留学基金委主办、安徽农业大学承办的2026年中国政府奖学金国际暑期学校“茶叶研究与文化体验项目”在合肥举办。来自英国苏格兰农业大学、印度尼西亚、泰国等21名国际学生齐聚安徽，开启为期两周的茶学研学之旅。学员包括本科生和硕士研究生，专业涵盖农业科学、食品工程、园艺、生物资源等涉农领域。项目依托安徽农业大学茶业学院和茶树种质创新与资源利用全国重点实验室，将专业授课、实地研学和文化体验有机融合，打造国际化茶学实践课堂。学员还先后前往桐城、池州、石台、祁门、歙县、黄山区等多家茶企，观摩传统制茶工艺与现代化智能生产线，深入了解徽茶全产业链的发展情况。

From July 14 to 27, Anhui Agricultural University hosted the 2026 Chinese Government Scholarship International Summer School Program in Hefei. Sponsored by the China Scholarship Council, the two-week “Tea Research and Cultural Experience” program brought together 21 international students from British Scotland’s Rural College, Indonesia and Thailand, etc. The participants included undergraduate and master’s students majoring in agriculture-related fields such as agricultural science, food engineering, horticulture, and bioresources. Drawing on the expertise of the School of Tea Science and the State Key Laboratory of Tea Plant Germplasm Innovation and Resource Utilization, the program combined academic lectures, field visits, and cultural activities to offer an international, hands-on learning experience in tea science. The program organized a field study tour through southern Anhui. The participants traveled to Tongcheng, Chizhou, Shitai, Qimen, She County, and Huangshan District, where they visited a number of tea enterprises. At these sites, they observed traditional tea-processing techniques and modern intelligent production lines, learning more about the development of the entire tea industry chain in Anhui.

本次暑期学校以茶为纽带，打通课堂教学、产业实践与文化交流，助力海外青年读懂中国传统茶文化与现代农业发展。下一步，安徽农业大学将持续发挥茶学特色学科优势，开展更多国际交流活动，以茶为桥，促进中外文明交流互鉴。

With tea as a cultural link, the summer school integrated classroom instruction, industry-based learning, and cultural exchange, helping international participants gain an in-depth understanding of traditional Chinese tea culture and modern agricultural development. Moving forward, Anhui Agricultural University will continue to build on its distinctive strengths in tea science, organize more international exchange activities, and promote mutual learning between Chinese civilization and other civilizations through tea.
