SIE organized Advances Dormitory Safety Renovation Project During Summer Vacation to Build a Strong "Firewall" for Student Accommodation

本网讯 为进一步加强校园安全管理，消除学生住宿区域安全隐患，切实保障学生人身和财产安全，国际教育学院利用2026年暑假时间，在总务部支持下，组织实施了学生宿舍楼外墙钢构及防盗窗安全改造工程。

To further strengthen campus safety management, eliminate safety hazards in student accommodation areas, and effectively safeguard the personal and property safety of students, the School of International Education (SIE) organized and implemented a safety renovation project for the exterior wall steel structures and anti-theft windows of student dormitories during the summer vacation of 2026 with the support of the office of General Affairs.

本次改造主要针对国际教育学院综合楼及学生公寓17号楼A、B、C区，重点开展外墙钢构安全隐患拆除、宿舍防盗窗拆除及逃生窗改造工作。其中，对二层及以上宿舍的防盗窗进行整体拆除，对一层宿舍防盗窗实施逃生窗改造，确保在紧急情况下疏散通道畅通，提升应急逃生能力。

The renovation focused on the SIE Comprehensive Building and Zones A, B, and C of Student Apartment Building 17. Key tasks included the removal of hazardous exterior wall steel structures, the dismantling of dormitory anti-theft windows, and the modification of emergency escape windows. Specifically, anti-theft windows on the second floor and above were completely removed, while those on the first floor were retrofitted into escape windows. These measures ensure unobstructed evacuation routes in emergencies and enhance emergency escape capabilities.

此次改造是国际教育学院落实校园安全主体责任、推进平安校园建设的重要举措，有效提升了学生宿舍的消防安全和应急疏散能力，为学生营造更加安全、安心的住宿环境。

This renovation is a significant measure taken by the SIE to fulfill its primary responsibility for campus safety and advance the construction of a safe campus. It has effectively improved the fire safety and emergency evacuation capabilities of student dormitories, creating a safer and more secure living environment for students.
