Notice on Applications for Extension of Scholarship Funding for Chinese Government Scholarship Doctoral Students (2026)

为做好2026年中国政府奖学金博士生申请延长奖学金资助期限的相关工作，按照《中国政府奖学金工作管理办法》（教外厅〔2020〕1号）《关于2026年博士生申请延长奖学金资助期限有关工作的通知》（留金来管〔2026〕3号）文件相关要求，现将有关事宜通知如下：

To facilitate applications for extension of scholarship funding for Chinese Government Scholarship doctoral students in 2026, and in accordance with the relevant requirements of the Measures for the Administration of Chinese Government Scholarship and the Notice on Applications for Extending Scholarship Funding for Doctoral Students in 2026, the following notice is hereby issued:

一、申请条件

Application Eligibility

申请延期的主体为奖学金资助期限即将于2026年7月结束的中国政府奖学金博士研究生，并满足以下条件：

  Applicants for an extension shall be Chinese Government Scholarship  doctoral students whose scholarship funding period will expire in July 2026 and must meet the following criteria:

1.学习态度认真、表现良好，无违法违纪行为；

Demonstrate diligence in study, good conduct, and no record of violations of laws or university regulations;

2.未被派遣国列入2026/2027年度奖学金计划；

Not be included in the sending country’s scholarship plan for academic year 2026/2027 ;

3.已通过奖学金年度评审、完成开题报告并通过中期考核；

  Have passed the annual scholarship review, completed the thesis proposal, and passed the mid-term assessment;

4.博士研究生在读期间仅可申请延期一次，对已经办理过延期的，不再受理申请。

Be eligible to apply for only one extension during the period of study and not have previously been granted one.

二、申请程序

Application Procedure

通过中国政府奖学金来华留学管理信息系统进行，基本流程：

The application shall be submitted through the China Government Scholarship Management Information System for International Students in China. The basic process is as follows:

1.参评学生通过CSC号登录中国政府奖学金来华留学管理信息系统（studyinchina.csc.edu.cn，以下简称信息系统），进入“奖学金年度自评”模块，填写“中国政府奖学金学校评估问卷”，完成自评信息和上传附加材料后，点击“提交”。完成奖学金年度自评后，请再次登录信息系统，进入“博士生延期申请”，点击“新增”按钮，填写相关信息后保存并提交。

Eligible students shall log in to the China Government Scholarship Management Information System for International Students in China at studyinchina.csc.edu.cn (hereinafter referred to as the “Information System”) using their CSC ID number. Enter the “Annual Self-Assessment of Chinese Government Scholarship” module, fill in the “CSC Host Institution Evaluation Questionnaire”, complete the self-assessment information, upload supporting materials, and click “Submit”. After finishing the annual scholarship self-assessment, please log in to the Information System again, enter the “Doctoral Student Extension Application” module, click the “Add New” button, fill in the relevant information, save, and submit.

2.由国际教育学院征求导师意见并代为在系统https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/填写导师意见栏。博士生延期申请系统填报时间为2026年4月18日至5月8日，如未能在上述时间内完成申请事宜，将无法受理。请务必在系统自动关闭前完成申报工作。

The School of International Education will collect supervisors’ comments and enter them in the supervisor comment section of the system at https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/ on behalf of the students. The application period for doctoral student extension system is from April 18 to May 8, 2026. Applications not completed within the above time frame will not be accepted. Please ensure that the application is submitted before the system closes automatically.
