Our College Organized International Students 

to Participate in the 2026 “Hui Ping Tournament” Special Event for Foreign Players

为纪念中美“乒乓外交”55周年，弘扬“小球转动大球”的友好精神，4月26日，2026“徽乒赛”外籍选手专场活动在合肥举行。国际教育学院积极组织13名留学生参加，与来自37个国家的百余名选手同台竞技，在切磋球技中增进交流与友谊。

To commemorate the 55th anniversary of the "Ping-Pong Diplomacy" between China and the United States and to carry forward the spirit of “small ball moving the big ball,” the 2026 “Hui Ping Tournament” Special Event for Foreign Players was held on April 26 in Hefei. Our college actively organized 13 international students to participate in the event, where they competed alongside more than 100 players from 37 countries, enhancing communication and friendship through table tennis.

比赛现场气氛热烈，留学生精神饱满、积极参赛，在乒乓球对决中展现了良好的竞技水平和文明风貌。通过比赛，大家不仅提升了球技，也在互动交流中加深了对不同文化的理解，增强了跨文化沟通能力。

The competition was lively and engaging. The international students from our college participated with enthusiasm, demonstrating solid skills and a positive spirit. Through the matches, they not only improved their playing techniques but also deepened their understanding of different cultures and strengthened their cross-cultural communication abilities.

除竞技赛事之外，本次活动还融入了中华优秀传统文化元素。留学生在参赛之余，通过沉浸式体验，近距离感受中国文化魅力，进一步增强了对中国文化的认同与兴趣。同时，现场设置的趣味乒乓项目也吸引了留学生广泛参与，在轻松愉快的氛围中共享运动乐趣。

In addition to the matches, the event incorporated elements of traditional Chinese culture. While participating, international students experienced the charm of Chinese culture through immersive activities, further enhancing their interest and appreciation. Meanwhile, various fun table tennis activities attracted wide participation, allowing students to enjoy the sport in a relaxed atmosphere.

一直以来，学院高度重视留学生培养质量，积极搭建多元交流平台。此次参与“徽乒赛”，不仅丰富了留学生的课余生活，也为其深入了解中国、融入中国社会提供了良好契机。今后，学院将继续创新开展各类国际交流活动，促进中外青年交流互鉴，为推动民心相通贡献力量。

Our college has always attached great importance to the cultivation of international students and actively builds diverse platforms for cultural exchange. Participation in this event not only enriched students’ extracurricular life but also provided a valuable opportunity for them to better understand China and integrate into Chinese society. In the future, our college will continue to organize diverse international exchange activities to promote mutual understanding and contribute to people-to-people connectivity.
