The School of International Education Launches Publicity Activity for National Malaria Day
2026年4月24日，在全国第19个“全国疟疾日”（4月26日）来临之际，为进一步筑牢校园传染病防控屏障，强化来华留学生疟疾防控意识，我校总务部、校医院联合安徽省、合肥市、蜀山区三级疾控中心，面向留学生开展以“防疟疾、防输入、早发现、早诊疗”为主题的疟疾防治专题宣传教育活动。原安徽省疾病预防控制中心副主任王建军受邀担任主讲专家，国际教育学院、总务部、校医院相关负责人及部分留学生代表参加活动。
On April 24, 2026, two days before the 19th National Malaria Day (April 26), the School of International Education held a themed educational activity to strengthen campus infectious disease prevention and control and raise awareness of malaria prevention among international students. Co-hosted by the University General Affairs Department, the University Hospital, and the Anhui Provincial, Hefei Municipal and Shushan District Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the activity was themed “Prevent Malaria, Block Importation, Ensure Early Detection and Early Treatment”. Wang Jianjun, former Deputy Director of Anhui Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention was invited as the keynote speaker. The event was attended by administrators from the School of International Education, the University General Affairs Department and the University Hospital, together with international student representatives.
王建军结合多年公共卫生工作经验，系统讲解了疟疾的传播途径、典型症状、预防措施及规范诊疗流程，解析境外输入性疟疾的防控要点与健康监测要求。现场发放了中英文版防治手册，并设置互动问答环节，学生踊跃提问、积极交流，整体氛围热烈。
Drawing on his years of experience in public health, Wang Jianjun gave a systematic presentation on malaria transmission routes, typical symptoms, preventive measures and standardized diagnosis and treatment procedures. He highlighted key points for the prevention and control of imported malaria as well as health monitoring requirements. The session included the distribution of bilingual brochures and an interactive Q&A, where students actively asked questions and enthusiastically engaged in discussions, creating a vibrant learning atmosphere.
此次活动有效提升了留学生的传染病防控意识与自我防护能力。下一步，学校将持续深化与疾控部门的合作，开展常态化健康宣教，完善校园传染病防控体系，为师生健康安全保驾护航。
The activity effectively enhanced international students’ awareness of infectious disease prevention and self-protection capabilities. Going forward, the University will continue to deepen cooperation with CDC authorities, carry out regular health education activities, improve the campus infectious disease prevention and control system, and safeguard the health and safety of all faculty, staff and students.
