Anhui Agricultural University International Students Shine at the Anhui Regional Showcase of the 6th“Tell China’s Stories in English”Event
本网讯 近日，第六届“用英语讲中国故事大会”安徽选区省级展演在合肥顺利举办。全省近百名留学生以语言为桥梁，立足在皖学习生活经历，用国际化视角解读安徽发展、讲述中国故事。学校4名泰国参赛留学生凭借出色表现脱颖而出，其中PUNTAREE BUATONG荣获“舞台之星”荣誉，KANYANAT KAEWSAI、JIRATEEP BOONPRAKONG、SUPAPORN BUARABAT荣获“传播之星”荣誉。
Recently, the Anhui regional competition showcase of the 6th “Tell China’s Stories in English” event was successfully held in Hefei. Using language as a bridge and drawing on their study and life experiences in Anhui, nearly one hundred international students across the province interpreted Anhui's development and told Chinese stories from an international perspective. Four Thai international students from our university stood out with their outstanding performances. Among them, PUNTAREE BUATONG won the title of “Stage Star”, while KANYANAT KAEWSAI, JIRATEEP BOONPRAKONG and SUPAPORN BUARABAT were awarded the title of “Communication Star”.
比赛现场氛围热烈、精彩纷呈。学校参赛留学生精神饱满、自信从容，凭借扎实的汉语语言功底、真挚的情感表达与独特的外籍视角，结合自身在华求学见闻与实践体验，围绕中国智慧农业、智能交通、科创发展、AI赋能语言学习、传统文化感悟等多元主题，生动讲述真实鲜活的中国故事、安徽故事。才艺展示环节里，留学生们身着精美传统服饰，相继表演太极剑、中国舞与中文曲目。
The competition was filled with excitement and wonderful performances. The four international students from our university were energetic, confident and poised. With a solid command of Chinese, sincere feelings and distinctive international perspectives, they shared their experiences from studying in China. Focusing on a range of themes such as smart agriculture, intelligent transportation, sci-tech innovation, AI-enabled language learning and insights into traditional culture, they gave vivid, authentic speeches about China and Anhui. During the talent show, they dressed in elegant traditional attire and presented tai chi sword, Chinese dance and Chinese songs.
为助力全体参赛选手稳定发挥、共同进步，汉语教学部老师全程统筹指导、细致把控赛场状态。在比赛间隙，汉语教学部老师主动组织已完赛的留学生选手开展经验分享，鼓励大家将自身登台体验、舞台表达技巧、临场应变经验、演讲节奏心得等，逐一传授给即将登场的参赛选手。一对一的经验交流、面对面的互助分享，有效帮助待参赛选手缓解了赛前紧张情绪，充分营造了互帮互助、共同成长、以赛促学、以赛促练的良好竞赛氛围。
To help all participants perform at their best and make progress together, teachers from the Chinese Language Teaching Department provided overall guidance and on-site support throughout the event. During competition breaks, teachers organized students who had finished their performances to share their experience. They passed on stage experience, presentation skills, on-the-spot adaptability and speech rhythm tips to upcoming contestants. The one-on-one exchanges and face-to-face mutual support effectively eased pre-competition nerves, fostering a positive atmosphere of mutual assistance, joint progress, learning and practice through competition.
学校将进一步深耕国际中文教育，依托安徽省国际中文教育实践与研究基地，不断丰富语言实践、文化体验活动载体，同时积极引导来华留学生扎根本地生活、拓宽国际视野，主动担当中国文化传播使者，用心用情讲好新时代中国故事、安徽故事。
In the days ahead, our university will further deepen international Chinese language education. Leveraging the Anhui Provincial Base for Practice and Research in International Chinese Language Education, we will diversify platforms for language practice and cultural experience, and encourage international students to immerse themselves in local life, expand their global horizons, take on the role of Chinese cultural ambassadors, and wholeheartedly share vivid stories of China and Anhui in the new era.
